BPW PUTRAJAYA MALAYSIA - “We Care About You” The existence of the homeless community is nothing of a strange or new occurrence in any cities around the world, and Kuala Lumpur is included. We as a Business & Professional Women BPW PUTRAJAYA MALAYSIA are aware of the situation and want to be part of the initiative and responsibility which focuses on giving back to the communities by feeding the homeless and poor destitute families. This activity we belief, does not just feed hunger but it also feeds hope to the homeless and less fortunate part of the society. It is touching to see the gratification on the faces of these people as they received the packed food. It is also an eye-opening experience as it exposes us to learn, to care, to be thankful and share with the less fortunate. Another initiative which focuses on giving back to the communities is to pay our tribute to our pioneer generation who had helped to build Malaysia into what it is today. As most of the elderly residents in any nursing and retirement homes, they do not have regular visitors. A visit to a nursing home is a way of providing the elderly with opportunities to maintain longstanding social relationships and interactions with the society. A visit with the elderly residents, spending meaningful time and listen to them sharing their life stories has been rewarding. We hope that our little visit have also brought them cheers. We have been imparted with a valuable lesson on appreciating the sacrifices and contributions of our senior generation.
